Jerkameleon Made Me Do It

So yesterday I met a guy online who knits, and saw his blog.  He knits so beautifully; I instantly succumbed to jealousy, which I am not wont to do.  See for yourself why.

In an effort to make this blog true to its original purpose — being about knitting — I carried a project to create toys for our cat, Dee Dee.  I found some left-over felting yarn from a scarf project and knit up a quick block, maybe seven inches long and five inches wide.    Then I ran it through the washer to felt it up.  After it dried, I took a cookie cutter and cut around it.  Then I took the scraps and cut other shapes.  Not too elegant or pretty, but Dee Dee loves them.  She’s a very happy kitty, and that’s what matters.

That, and having a project to write about and post a picture of!  Jerkameleon, if you’re reading, thanks for inspiring me.
